Carlow Arts Festival (√Čigse) champions arts and culture across one of Ireland’s least known and most beautiful counties and offers a vibrant and dynamic programme of visual art, street carnival, literature and performance over 10 days.

The festival makes use of almost every significant arts venue and tourist attraction in the county, in particular Carlow Town, the River Barrow, VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art, Borris House and village, and unusual barge-based arts activities on the riverbanks at Tinnahinch, Goresbridge, Bagenalstown and Leighlinbridge.

An hour from both airports and ferry terminals, with a main-line train station, the M9 motorway, the navigable Barrow, and a 38-year long reputation, this festival cries out for the culturally curious who are visiting the South East of Ireland in June 2016.

Venue: Carlow town and surrounding areas of Co. Carlow
