Open every Saturday & Sunday in Drogheda.
The emphasis will be on producers local to the North East of Ireland but we aim to provide customers at the market with a wide range of high quality food and crafts that are available in Ireland today.
The Indoor Market will be held in what was once the old Methodist Church & schoolhouse built in 1811, though better known in more recent times as Charlie Wilde’s shop, on Laurence Street. Market organizer Lorraine Murphy has partnered with Laurence Town Centre, of which the building is now part, to develop the all weather market to add some local flair to Drogheda’s retail experience.
The first market days take place on Saturday April 6th & Sunday April 7th. The plan is for The Old Schoolhouse Market to run once a month on Saturday & Sunday (see dates below) with a rotation of stall holders each month and hold special themed markets at certain times such as Christmas.
